Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and technically skilled Web Administrator to manage and maintain our company’s website and web-related functions. As a key member of our digital team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the company's website, ensuring that it is functioning smoothly, regularly updated, and aligned with the overall business goals of the shipping logistics and freight forwarding industry.

This is a contractual role, ideal for someone with experience in web administration, IT support, and digital optimization within a logistics context.

What will you enjoy doing (duties/tasks)

• Regularly monitor and update the company website to ensure it is functioning properly. This includes managing content, ensuring security protocols are in place, and troubleshooting any technical issues.
• Collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to update website content, ensuring that all information (services, pricing, news, etc.) is up to date and accurate.
• Provide ongoing technical support for website functionality and performance, resolving any issues related to navigation, broken links, and user experience.

• Ensure the website is optimized for search engines (SEO) and provide recommendations to improve page load speed, user experience (UX), and site navigation.
• Monitor website traffic using tools like Google Analytics, identify user Behavior trends, and suggest improvements to increase engagement, lead generation, and overall website performance.
• Integrate and maintain essential third-party tools and platforms, such as CRM systems, booking or tracking systems, and other logistics-related platforms, ensuring seamless functionality between the website and other business tools.

• Ensure the website follows best security practices, including regular updates, data protection protocols, and preventing unauthorized access.
• Ensure the website complies with legal and industry standards, particularly data privacy regulations such as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), if applicable.

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to internal users and customers experiencing issues with the website (e.g., issues with booking forms, logistics tracking systems).
• Ensure the website provides an intuitive and user-friendly experience for clients, partners, and stakeholders. Regularly assess UX/UI (user interface) and make necessary improvements.

• Work closely with the marketing, operations, and IT teams to align website content and functionality with company goals. Assist in delivering new web-based projects for services, promotions, or logistical tools.
• If applicable, liaise with external vendors or agencies involved in website development or management, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Requirements:

What you need to succeed (Qualifications, experience, skills, attributes)!
In the role for Contractual - Web Administrator we are looking for Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, IT, or related field. Along with 2+ years of experience in web administration, web development, or IT support, ideally within a logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation company. Understanding of website security protocols (SSL, firewalls, data encryption) and best practices for ensuring a secure website environment. Proficiency in website management platforms (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, etc.). Strong knowledge of web languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, etc.). Familiarity with SEO tools and techniques to enhance website performance. Experience with Google Analytics and other website tracking tools. Knowledge of CMS (Content Management System) tools, website hosting, and domain management.
